Our new consulting rooms at Visiomed Office Park — coming early 2027
Dr Pieter Marais is moving his consulting rooms a short distance up Beyers Naudé Drive to Building III, Visiomed Office Park. Current appointments are unchanged until the new rooms open.

If you have seen Dr Marais recently, you may have heard him mention that the practice is moving. It is true — and it is a short move. The new consulting rooms are being renovated right now at Visiomed Office Park, a few hundred metres up Beyers Naudé Drive from where patients see him today.
Nothing changes yet. Until the new rooms open in early 2027, all consultations carry on exactly as before at the current rooms. If you have an appointment booked, keep it as it is.

Why move?
A surgical consultation is often an anxious hour. Patients arrive worried about a scan result, a lump or an operation, and the last thing they need is a struggle to park or a long walk through a busy hospital corridor. The new rooms are designed around a calmer visit: parking right outside the building, a quiet, private setting, and more space for proper conversations about the options.
Where is it?
Visiomed Office Park is at 269 Beyers Naudé Drive, Blackheath, Randburg — on the corner of Pasteur Road, directly opposite Cresta Shopping Centre and next to the Blackheath Mercedes-Benz dealership.
The park is easy to recognise by its white Mediterranean-style buildings with tiled roofs and arched windows. Each building is marked with a Roman numeral. The practice will be in Building III: drive through the security gate, follow the signposts for Buildings I to IX, and look for "III" on the facade. The practice is in Suite 9. Visitor parking is directly outside the building.
Renovations under way
Dr Marais is personally overseeing a full renovation of the new suite. The rooms are being fitted out with better equipment and a calmer layout: a more comfortable waiting area, private consulting and examination rooms, and space for minor procedures and follow-up visits — all designed around a smoother visit for patients.

What about operations?
Surgery is not affected by the move. Dr Marais operates mainly at Netcare Olivedale Hospital, and also at Life Bedford Gardens and Cure Day Hospital. Your admission details will be confirmed at your consultation, as always.
When will the new rooms open?
The move is planned for the end of 2026, with the rooms opening early in 2027 — possibly a little sooner. We will confirm the exact date here, on our Google profile and when you book. Until then, see the Contact page for current directions and booking details.
